日前，监狱总医院感染科的医护民警、管教民警共同收到一面锦旗。当民警从监管医疗区赶到总医院的大门口，远远看见手握锦旗、耐心等待的男子，一眼就认出了他——阿冰（化名）。
他选择放弃治疗…

时间回到2016年3月。总医院收治了一名重症肺结核、大量胸腹水、颈部溃烂流脓、持续高热的病犯，更严重的是——他还是重症艾滋病人。
不仅如此，翻开档案，“几进宫”的经历更是“刺眼”。身陷囹圄，重病折磨，家人远离……这一切让他失去了活下去的信心，心理和生理都对治疗产生了强烈的抵触。
他拒绝服药，拒绝换药，拒绝一切可能挽救生命的治疗手段，试图用“拒绝”来终结生命。如同把自己置身于黑暗的深渊，抗拒阳光和温暖。
星光照亮康复路…

然而，总医院的医护民警从未想过放弃任何一个，因为在他们眼里，病犯首先是病人。民警每天督促检查阿冰吃药，为他挂水、打针、换药，即使一开始他的身体渗出的血水、脓水沾满了民警的手套。
治病的过程也是愈心的过程。每次治疗，医护民警总会与他聊天，“电视里又有哪些新闻”“这个月亲情电话打给家里了没有”“父母身体还好吗”……慢慢地，阿冰对民警打开了话匣子。住院这段时间，成为他人生中不多的难忘时光。

感染科病区开展文体康复活动
阿冰在总医院住院和服刑这几年，管教民警几乎每天都要对他开展谈话教育，看似“聊天”的过程其实是民警对病犯的“读心”“攻心”，唤起绝症病犯的求生欲、悔罪心。这期间，医护民警对阿冰的清创换药也是日复一日、从未间断。
正是在警囚间的双向努力下，卧床多年的阿冰竟然慢慢能够坐起来了，生的希望重新被点燃。此后又经过半年的治疗，他逐渐能够站立、行走……继而开始参加病区、监区组织的康复改造活动。
再生之恩难忘却…

刑释后阿冰给医护和民警寄送的感谢信
拿着锦旗与民警合影，阿冰笑得很开心。如今的他，已经过上普通人的生活，有了自己的小家，也有谋生的技能。
“聚警医之力，创生命奇迹”，阿冰说，锦旗上的十个字是自己琢磨了许久才想出来的，“小小锦旗无法表达我对总医院警官们的感恩，你们不仅救了我的命，更给了我再生的机会……”
