据新华社报道，缅甸国家管理委员会3月31日发布消息，截至当天12时，缅甸7.9级地震造成全国死亡人数约2056人，另有约3900人受伤、约270人失踪。
3月28日地震发生后，中国乡村发展基金会缅甸办公室紧急启动救援响应，就地开展“3.28缅甸地震救援行动”。

物资发放
3月29日至30日，中国乡村发展基金会援助的首批物资包——300件蚊帐、300块芙蓉糕、1500提矿泉水在受灾严重的曼德勒省Than Hlyat Maw(West)镇区进行发放，惠及300户受灾家庭。

缅甸地震发生后，中国东方航空为中国乡村发展基金会救灾物资开启绿色通道，高效驰援缅甸灾区。3月30日，中国乡村发展基金会首批近6吨帐篷在东航物流的精准调度下快速入库，并于当日搭载MU2031航班从昆明启程飞抵仰光，为灾后安置提供关键支持。
